Sanditon’s Jack Fox spotted wearing his gold wedding ring after secret nuptials to singer Eleanor Fletcher as he hits the shops ahead of series three release

Jack Fox sported a gold wedding ring as he stepped out in London on Monday, after his secret wedding to singer Eleanor Fletcher last year.

The Sanditon actor, 37, quietly tied the knot with girlfriend Eleanor, 31, a year after announcing their engagement.

Jack, who plays manipulative Sir Edward Denham in the ITV series, was pictured for the first time showing his gold band as he hit the shops in Saville Row.

The screen star looked to be finding a quiet spot to settle down with his book In Search Of Our Time by Marcel Proust.

Eleanor is a singer-songwriter with electronic band Crystal Fighters, while Jack belongs to one of Britain’s most illustrious acting dynasties.

His siblings are Silent Witness star Emilia and Laurence Fox – and it seems he’s been showing his new wife the ropes.

Sharp-eyed viewers noted that Eleanor played a Regency ball guest in the second series of Sanditon.

ITV have yet to announce a release date, meanwhile in the US, it will air next month.

As a devastated Charlotte left Sanditon in tears, many viewers took to Twitter to rage about the ending, with one writing: ‘Still ranting. Still fuming. Still heartbroken.’

Another wrote: ‘Jane Austen is turning in her grave. There is a difference between an ending that leaves you wanting more and an ending that leaves you feeling betrayed.’

Jane Austen’s final, unfinished novel got to the 12th chapter before ill health prevented her from completing it, introducing the cast of characters to the seaside resort of Sanditon – but ending before the plot could really get going.

But the unfinished novel was adapted to screen by writer Andrew Davies.
